I read somewhere that when a phoenix hatches it takes the form of the first bird it sees.
That got me thinking; what if the first be-winged creature it saw was not exactly a regular bird?
In this drawing I tried to capture the phoenix as it is rising from the ashes in a fiery inferno.
Nice!
I like the use of red and yellow color spectrum.
The woman in the pic is beautifully done.
The only note is that the wings in my opinion, the spikes from em should be on the bottom of the wings, not at the top. But that might be your artistic view that the wings are dissolved by the fire or something.
But all in all, a great piece! Keep up the good work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Artists can color the sky red because they know its blue; the rest of us must color the sky as it really is or others might think we're stupid.
